The Proceedings will be published as a special (but consecutively numbered) issue of the journal NIMB - Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms. Electronic submission is open under ees.elsevier.com/nimb, and will be closed on 3 october 2008. If you have not submitted the manuscript electronically by 21 september 2008, please submit three hard copies to the conference desk on the 21 september 2008. In this case, the electronic submission is still necessary until the 3 october 2008.

When submitting, please remember to choose 'Proceedings: IISC-17'. Detailed instructions can be found under this link. Please note that there is no hard page limit, and that authors are expected to write their manuscript as for a normal NIMB contribution, and not let it degrade into an extended abstract. The manuscripts will undergo the regular peer-reviewing process. The issue will be published no later than May 2009. Every participant will receive a hard copy in 2009.

Copyright will be vested with Elsevier. Authors have to assign copyright to Elsevier.

Colour figures will appear on the web for free. If colour figures in the printed version are needed, an additional cost for reproduction of colour pages will apply as for regular papers in the Journal.

The corresponding author receives, at no cost, 25 offprints or a PDF file of the article. The PDF is a watermarked version of the published article and includes a cover sheet with the journal cover image and a disclaimer outlining the terms and condition of use.
